An investment fund designed for animal rights advocates and environmentalists, called US Vegan Climate Exchange Traded ETF, is set to begin trading on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) next month, according to Reuters. VEGN, as its trading name will appear, joins the hundreds of funds that consider ESG factors in their investment decisions but is thought to be unique in going animal cruelty-free. It will exclude stocks in the 500 largest US companies that “rely on animal exploitation”, said its creator Beyond Investing.
