Family offices now allocate more than a third of their portfolios to alternative asset classes, with half saying they plan to increase such exposure over the next five to ten years.
This is according to Blackrock’s new survey of 185 family offices, which also showed these investors allocated 10-25 percent of their portfolio to private equity. Over half (55 percent) reported that they expect to grow their exposure to private equity.
