The majority (87 percent) of FCA staff, who are also members of Unite, the union which represents them, have voted in support of industrial action against proposed cuts to pay and changes to working conditions.
The decision to vote on whether to take actions came after management refused to negotiate with the workforce on a programme of cost-cutting.
The programme includes cutting pay for certain staff positions and imposing an appraisal system.
