HSBC appoints global insurance CEO amid wealth management push

HSBC has appointed Ed Monocreiffe as chief executive of its global insurance business, which the bank said is an “integral” move in its bid to become a global wealth manager.

He has replaced Greg Hingston who is leaving HSBC.
