HSBC appoints new global wealth CEO as former takes top job at Lloyds

HSBC has appointed Nuno Matos as chief executive of wealth and personal banking (WPB), subject to regulatory approval.

Based in the UK, he will report to Noel Quinn, group chief executive, and join the group executive committee.

Currently chief executive of HSBC Bank plc, the UK non-ring-fenced bank, and chief executive of HSBC Europe, Mr Matos replaces Charlie Nunn.

Mr Nunn is leaving the firm to become group chief executive and executive director at Lloyds Banking Group.
