Lombard Odier in the UK had its best year ever in terms of assets flows in 2020 – “not something I would have predicted at the start of last year”, UK chief executive Duncan MacIntyre tells thewealthnet.
The firm benefited from inflows as clients looked to put cash to work in a low-rate environment, and higher trading volumes during the market correction in the first quarter.
Clients were reassured by the Lombard Odier’s strong tier 1 capital ratio (29.7 percent at group level), Mr MacIntyre said.
