Few readers of thewealthnet may be aware of Hansa Capital Partners LLP, a London-based investment management partnership with around £1 billion under management.

But Hansa, or the Hanseatic Group as it now calls itself, is a successor to Rea Brothers, a small London private bank controlled by the Salomon family that was acquired by Close Brothers in 1999.
