Newly-listed investment boutique buys advice firm

Wealth manager Oberon Investments has announced its first acquisition, following on from its listing on the Aquis Stock Exchange in February 2021.

The firm announced this week that it had completed a deal with Smythe House, increasing its assets under administration by £40 million. The deal is going ahead via a cash and shares arrangement.

Established in 2009, Smythe House provides financial planning to high net-worth clients in the wealth management, capital markets and real estate sectors.

Oberon, meanwhile, was formed earlier this year via a reverse takeover of Baskerville Capital.
