A study by Octopus Investments on the declining number of financial advisers shows that 44 percent entered the field from a different career. When more than 200 advisers were asked which regulations had made it harder to recruit new advisers, 50 percent cited MiFID II, 48 percent RDR, and 33 percent SM&CR (multiple responses allowed).
