Quilter acknowledges 'challenging' year as wealth client outflows increase

Quilter’s advice and wealth management arm has acknowledged a “challenging” year in terms of client inflows, as growth in its assets under management was supported almost entirely by investment performance.

Assets under management and advice sat at £45.8 billion at 31 December 2019 across the Quilter Cheviot, Quilter Investors, and Quilter Financial Planning businesses.

Client inflows of £2.7 billion were met by outflows of £2.6 billion, while market movements lifted the ship to the tune of £0.9 billion across the quarter.
