Wealth manager Raymond James is set to acquire competitor Charles Stanley for £278.9 million.

The boards have reached an agreement on the terms of a recommended acquisition by Bidco – a direct Raymond James subsidiary formed for the purpose of implementing the acquisition – of Charles Stanley.
