Social media influences Gen Z investment decisions – research

The majority (83 percent) of Gen Z investors say social media has influenced their investment decisions.

According to research from F&C Investment Trust, this is equivalent to 1.4 million young people if you extrapolate the data across all 18-23 year olds in the UK.

Social media has prompted 28 percent of Gen Z investors’ decision to start investing. Meanwhile 20 percent said social media has encouraged them to invest more money.
