St James’s Place acquires Scottish financial adviser

St James’s Place (SJP) has acquired Scottish financial adviser Policy Services (PSL), subject to regulatory approval.

PSL provides administration, fee reconciliation and advice services to SJP’s partners and their clients who hold non-SJP policies and plans.

Following the acquisition, PSL will be completely owned by SJP, but will continue to operate as an independent trading entity, directly authorised by the FCA. It will retain its own name and brand.

Peter Edwards, establishment director at SJP, described the acquisition as the “natural next step” in both firm’s existing relationship.
