A significant proportion of Credit Suisse shareholders have voted against the re-election of its chairman Urs Rohner, following criticism of his handling of a spying scandal which rocked the bank.
Mr Rohner was re-elected at Credit Suisse’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) this morning, with approximately 78 percent of the represented votes in favour, the lowest level of support during his 11-year tenure. Twenty-two percent voted against and just under 1 percent abstained.
