Twenty years on for the investment thoroughbred spawned by UK single family office

Originally created by Lord Weinstock, the former chief executive and chairman of GEC, to manage his family wealth, London-based Troy Asset Management celebrated its 20-year anniversary earlier in 2020.

Instead of expanding its private or family office activities Troy, named for Lord Weinstock's racehorse that won the 1979 Derby, has focused almost exclusively on managing pooled investment vehicles, an activity in which it has been very successful, both in terms of performance and profitability.
