UBP hires Europe WM head from UBS

Union Bancaire Privée (UBP) has hired René Mottas as head of wealth management for Europe. He has also become a member of the executive committee.

He replaces Pierfranco de Vita, who recently decided to retire.

In this role, he will aim to “speed up UBP’s expansion in its priority markets and to optimise its business in Europe,” the firm stated.

This area comprises its Zurich, Lugano, London, Milan and Monaco branches, our Luxembourg subsidiary, the Swiss market, the external asset managers (EAM) segment, and the European countries managed out of Geneva.
