Wealth trade body adds industry veteran to board

Wealth management trade association PIMFA has appointed Geoff Towers to its board as a non-executive director (NED).

With over 35 years’ industry experience, Mr Towers has previously held leadership roles at Citibank, Barclays Wealth, Legal & General and Friends Life.

He was chief executive of BNY Mellon’s Pershing for almost six years before stepping down in June to focus on non-executive roles.

Mr Towers was also previously the first chief executive of Standard Life’s platform business, launching their wrap and fund supermarket proposition.
