Women-founded firms still receiving less than 1pc of VC funding

Women-founded companies still receive less than 1 percent of all VC funding in Europe, despite the number of female-led firms doubling over the past decade.

Analysis showed that in 2011, female-founded companies received just 1.2 percent of all European VC investment. By 2020, this total had grown to 2.2 percent before falling to 0.7 percent in 2021, the lowest point in at least 10 years.
