Woodford investors to receive another £224m as wind-down continues

Investors in the former Woodford Equity Income Fund are to receive another payment of £224 million as the administrators sell off a portion of the fund’s more illiquid holdings.

This is on top of the £2.27 billion that was received by March 2020. The fund was valued at £3.03 billion when it was suspended in June 2019.

The fund’s administrator, Link Fund Solutions, said it was now able to sell up to 19 of the fund’s healthcare assets to patent owner Acacia Research Corporation. The transaction could take up to six months to complete.
