UK countryside house prices fall in wake of pandemic boom

House prices in the countryside have started to fall over the last year, having recorded growth since the pandemic in 2019, according to estate agent comparison site GetAgent.co.uk.

Its research revealed a countryside property purchase from a sample of 25 rural towns increased £323,603 in the current market, up nine percent compared to the pre-pandemic market.

Alresford in Winchester topped the list, where the average home cost £518,787 under current conditions.
