Coutts gears up for an investment push into intermediaries channels

Coutts & Co is seeking to recruit a head of advisory intermediaries to attract more third party referrals from the likes of private client lawyers, accountants and asset consultants.

The job is to take on “a wide ranging role which is crucial to the development of the external business development strategy at Coutts”.

The bank feels confident that it has a best-in-class investment proposition and is working hard to overcome a legacy image that it is primarily only a private banking supplier. Peter Flavel, its chief executive, has been quoted on more than occasion saying Coutts is ‘more than a bank’.
