Ex-Credit Suisse chief's name suggested for role in Ivorian government

Former Credit Suisse chief executive Tidjane Thiam has been floated by French president Emmanuel Macron as a part of a potential new government for the Ivory Coast, according to a press report.

A French official who attended a meeting at the Elysée on 4 September told the Financial Times Mr Thiam’s had come up, among others, but there were no concrete proposals.
