Whisky investor bottles 4,600pc return

Investing your way to an early retirement is not an unusual story in the wealth management industry. But, buying whisky to do so certainly is.

Roger Parfitt, a 59-year-old bank manager and father-of-two from Coventry, has done just that.

He decided to invest £4,700 in whisky in 1994.

Twenty-seven years ago he spent £3,200 and £1,500 on a Macallan and Tobermory cask respectively.
