Almost a quarter of UK homebuyers not asked for ID

A significant proportion of UK homebuyers were not asked to provide proof of identity when purchasing a property, according to verification checks provider Credas Technologies.

The survey of UK homebuyers questioned whether the selling agent asked for proof of identity such as a passport or diving license when purchasing their last property.
